4-day Masterclass programme, 20-23 October

Masterclasses

Attendees could choose from fourteen 6½ hour Masterclasses beginning Tuesday afternoon and ending the following day before the core 3-day programme started. These provided intensive in-depth tuition on key topics in fundraising today. The teaching style of each Masterclass varied from more formal lecture-style formats to very interactive and participative ones so attendees could choose their preferred learning style.

60 minute sessions

The 60 minute sessions were designed to provide a short, sharp fix of fundraising tips and insight at the end of a tiring day. Lasting just one hour each, these fast-moving classes provided a wealth of practical ideas, research and resources to enable every delegate to become a better fundraiser.

IFC LIVE! sessions

After the success of last year’s live recorded sessions, we once again offered the opportunity to take part in our working television studio where you could attend the recording of five special programmes that explored some of the most cutting edge thinking in fundraising today. The five programmes each followed a unique TV format and featured well known IFC speakers as well as some new faces who shared their stories and views.

These sessions were high energy, packed with ideas and challenges and gave attendees the chance to participate and be part of the programme. You could attend the whole series or simply check out one that particularly appealed.

Plenaries

There was an opening and closing plenary and an additional evening plenary on the Tuesday evening of the IFC for 4-day delegates.

Sector Development Sessions

These two special sessions looked beyond tools and techniques to two issues affecting the development of the sector.

Workshops

There were seven core programme slots in the programme, each lasting 1½ hours, except for the 60 minute sessions lasting one hour.
