About the IWRM - image

The 9th International Workshop on Resource Mobilisation (IWRM) took place from 25-28 June 2009 in Bangalore, India.

The IWRM was a 4 day international workshop widely recognised as the leading training forum for building the fundraising capacity of non-profit organisations in the Global South.

Bringing together the best fundraising trainers and practitioners from around the world, our programme delivered a comprehensive overview of best practice in the arena of organisational sustainability through resource mobilisation and sustainable fundraising techniques.

From sessions on getting started and raising your first funds to advanced classes on drafting strategic fundraising and marketing plans, the programme of practical training had something for everyone, both beginner and experienced practitioner alike.

What delegates gained at the 9th IWRM:

  1. A set of practical skills to help build the fundraising capacity of their organisation
  2. Insights into best practice in local resource mobilisation from our superb line-up of leading fundraising experts and practitioners from around the world
  3. A clear strategy for dialogue with institutional donors, the government, and business communities in your country to strengthen support for civil society and your own organisation
  4. Access to a global network of fellow fundraising professionals from over 250 non-profit organisations around the world
