About IWRM

Your starting point for fundraising success!

The Resource Alliance has a 12 year history of organising the IWRM. It is widely recognised as the leading training for building the fundraising capacity of non-profit organisations in the emerging economies.  Host countries have included India, Thailand, Uganda, Malaysia, South Africa and Kenya.

The IWRM is a three to four day Workshop focused on providing comprehensive training in all aspects of resource mobilisation and sustainable fundraising techniques. Through a vibrant mixture of hands-on ‘how to’ Workshops and high-energy Plenaries, our aim is to equip participants with a thorough grounding in resource mobilisation theory, as well as a set of practical techniques with which to build their fundraising capacity.

In 2013, the Resource Alliance will be running IWRMs in two regions:

• IWRM Africa
• IWRM Asia (20-23 August 2013)

How to support us

Support your grantees to attend the IWRM

If you are a trust or foundation, supporting your grantees to attend the IWRM will develop their skills and understanding of resource mobilisation, and can be instrumental in ensuring their financial sustainability beyond the course of your grant support. By investing in training of your grantees you can:

• demonstrate your commitment to their causes
• give a longer life to your initial grant investment
• put in place a supportive exit strategy
• reduce the pressure on non-profits to compromise their mission to secure grant funding from an alternative source
