The Resource Alliance believes it is essential that voluntary sector fundraisers have opportunities to improve their skills and to network with other fundraisers. However, all too often, those who need these opportunities the most do not have the resources to access them. The Fundraisers Fund addresses this problem by establishing bursaries that enable fundraising's rising stars in Asia and Africa to attend training events and workshops, as well as participate in other programme initiatives that aim to build fundraising capacity.
Each bursary is awarded by a selection committee and applicants must satisfy specific terms and conditions in order to be eligible. In awarding bursaries, the Resource Alliance seeks to support organisation who demonstrate a commitment to investing resources in fundraising, and to individuals who can apply the learning within their organisations.
The Fundraisers Fund evolved out of the Resource Alliance’s Guy Stringer Bursary Fund, which was established and launched in October 2002 through the support of a number of corporate donors, including the founding corporate partner SAZ.
