Shivraj Parshad

Communications Consultant

Animal rights activist, former broadcast journalist, podcaster and communications trainer. Shivraj advises the Resource Alliance India office on its communications strategy and manages content and social media outreach. He also keeps busy advising organisations on public affairs, crisis and public speaking. A firm believer in ‘getting the story right’, he has trained senior leaders from organizations like the WHO, McKinsey’s, Micronutrient Initiative, SAP & Nielsen.

Shivraj began his career in 1995 with India’s première media house New Delhi Television (NDTV) and as Deputy Editor – Foreign Affairs, covered landmark events like 9/11, Iraq War, Indo US Nuclear Deal among others and interviewed global leaders like Kofi Annan, Vladimir Putin, Benazir Bhutto, Mahinda Rajapaksa and Jack Straw. He holds a Masters Degree in International Relations from the University of Sussex, UK.

In his spare time Shivraj rescues and rehomes abandoned dogs and teaches Filmmaking, TV and Media courses.
