How to embrace change instead of fear it.
We’re supposed to say we love it, but the truth is, many of us fear change. Change is happening all around us, but that doesn’t make any easier when it takes us by surprise and hits us where it hurts. This session will examine the human response to change and look at the varying ways in which we deal with it in our working lives. Together, we will identify positive steps you can take to embrace change now and in the future.
We will ask questions like:
- What is the nature of change?
- Where do you stand—do you fear change or do you thrive on it?
- What is the Change Equation and how can you stack the odds in your favour?
Especially relevant for those currently experiencing or dealing with change, this workshop will explain why we may fear and resist change; why badly managed change is likely to fail; and how to identify where you are, where you need to be—as well as how to transition from one to the other. We will outline the ingredients necessary for change to happen, suggest a structure through which to plan and manage change at work, and look at practical ways to operate well in times of change.
