Through her journey of building social enterprise after successful social enterprise in Zimbabwe and then in the UK, Nyasha Gwatidzo will reflect on moments of misalignment, adaptation, and forging ahead against the odds, offering a human perspective on what it really means to reimagine, reclaim, and rebuild.
A social worker and psychiatrist by training, Nyasha Gwatidzo has spent the last four decades working with children and communities affected by trauma, abuse, and systemic inequality. The founder of multiple social enterprises across the UK and in Zimbabwe, including Banya Family Placement Agency and Vana Trust, Nyasha’s work currently supports thousands of children. Since 1987, she has helped to build sustainable, purpose-led organisations that have generated over £130 million in impact and income.
