Establishing and Diversifying Fundraising Activity

Practical steps from getting started to getting support.

Establishing a new fundraising operation and diversifying activity are challenges faced by fundraisers across the globe. This workshop will guide you through practical steps, exploring:

  • Where to start: How to decide which streams to introduce, gathering market & channel insights, understanding market differences, making the case for investment
  • Making and winning the argument: How to engage internal stakeholders, find advocates, build a fundraising culture, and translate your mission into an effective and relevant proposition
  • Implementation: Covering testing, learning, optimisation, KPIs, clear milestones, contingency planning, and how to evidence results

These steps will be illustrated by the lived experience of two case study subjects, one in Europe and one in the UK, who will share their approach, including what went to plan and how they dealt with what didn’t.

As part of the session, you will receive a number of planning templates for your own use.
