For the last 5 years, Innovation Camp at IFC has been a lab for innovation in fundraising and mobilisation. This December, we’re offering Members of the RA Global Community the opportunity to join the Innovation Camp team for an interactive masterclass like no other!

This virtual Masterclass will be an interactive exploration of innovation in Gastro Advocacy and Foodraising. With special guests, we’ll explore the power of food for fundraising and social change. We’ll create together, testing new ways of connecting our senses — cooking, smelling, eating — to get our donors and activists more involved in our NGOs’ work. As a participant, you’ll talk with innovators like Veronica Cheble of the Spanish Commission for Refugees (CEAR) about how they are using Gastro Advocacy in their “Delighted to Eat You” app and their cooking lessons. And we’ll brainstorm more broadly about the 5 key fundraising trends that are going to change the way we work.

Ellen Janssens (Netherlands)

Ellen is a freelance fundraising strategist and (Open) Innovation Specialist with several years of experience in Innovation Management for Dutch charities. She is a strong advocate for attracting supporters instead of donors, raising impact support instead of only funds. This gives all kinds of stakeholders the opportunity to support their charity of choice with other means like time, expertise, network, data, or their creativity. To achieve this, innovation needs to be a truly joined effort both within and outside of the organisation. For the last three years, she has been involved in the organisation of the IFC Innovation Camp.

He is the former fundraising and campaign innovation manager for Greenpeace International, where he lead the design and implementation of cyberactivism and fundraising at Greenpeace International. He was Board Chair of Greenpeace Argentina & Greenpeace Argentina for ten years and is currently a Board Member of Greenpeace International. Marcelo is also on the board of The Resource Alliance, hosts of the International Fundraising Congress (IFC).
