Polarisation versus productivity: Churn in the nonprofit sector

Polarisation versus productivity: Churn in the nonprofit sector

About this session

Is your team pulling together or is pressure pushing them apart? There is a huge amount of churn in the fundraising sector. Talent is recruited to come in and provide a new way of looking at things, but inductions can sap the spirit out of a newly-appointed fundraiser and it’s only downhill from there. What changes can we make to support new team members and nurture talent instead of allowing it to be lost? And is there a genuine shortage of valuable resources in the sector leading to a high turnover of staff who cannot handle the fast pace and intense pressure that comes from operating in the not-for-profit sector?

This workshop will explore ideas and perceptions and aims to challenge the status quo – or at least shine a new light on why there is so much movement in our area of work.
