Money is about so much more than numbers on a page. It carries emotion, memory, and meaning, for donors as well as for fundraisers. With that in mind, how can you connect with your donors on a deeper level?
Join us to consider how the stories and emotions we carry about money may shape our fundraising practice. Together, we will explore how embodiment practices, presence, and awareness can transform the way you approach your donor relationships.
Through interactive exercises drawing on aikido, theatre, and somatic coaching, we will uncover the shared roots of why people give, as well as why we ask them to. You’ll leave the session with practical tools to help you approach money conversations with greater authenticity, calm, and confidence, while also reflecting on the deeper cultural and personal patterns that shape our work.
This open discussion will be a chance to reconnect with the human side of fundraising and to spend some time noticing—in body and in mind—the ways in which money moves us all.
