Sharing and shifting power

Sharing vs. shifting power

New perspectives on how our work impacts working and living realities in the Global South

This session will offer insight into a hot – and sometimes contentious – topic in the international development world: how to carve new pathways to work in a dynamic of more equally shared power, within a system of international grant dispersion that makes very high demands on ngo and cbo partners in the global South, particularly the smaller ones. Participants will explore and – literally – experience the hurdles that these organisations need to take to bring in grants to secure their projects and future work. This gamified experience will flow into a group discussion on how to each of us can contribute and work towards a way that is more equal, more effective and more impactful.
