An experienced strategic consultant, social researcher, and executive leadership coach, Gavin Coopey brings a broad range of experience from an extensive career in the Australian and UK not-for-profit sectors to the Resource Alliance.
As a strategic consultant, Gavin advises charities, nonprofits, and social businesses on innovation, agility, brand marketing, and behaviour change – driving the resulting organisational change required to integrate new approaches. He often works with boards and senior leadership teams while being able to directly support culture development programmes with staff teams at the same time.
Gavin also runs the FIA (Fundraising Institute Australasia) Leadership Labs, where he facilitates a peer leadership support programme and coaches senior leaders using his strengths-based training.
In 2026, Gavin was recognised with the Arthur Venn Lifetime Achievement Award for his ongoing work in the sector, especially his leadership coaching and mentoring support to fundraisers.
